Training and behaviour
Puppy training by week: sit, come and walking nicely
A weekly plan can help you remember brief reward-based practice for name response, sit, recall, settling and loose-lead walking. The tool orders these topics and revisits them; it does not claim that a puppy must learn a skill in a particular calendar week.

How should practice be introduced?
RSPCA advises using rewards, keeping practice short and starting with few distractions. Choose a situation where the puppy can succeed, then reward the behaviour you want.
The planner's week labels organise your attention. If a skill remains difficult, repeat a comfortable step rather than advancing because the calendar changed.
How can recall and lead work stay manageable?
Practise recall in a safe setting, reward the puppy for returning and increase difficulty gradually. Do not use an unsecured public setting as the first test of a new cue.
For lead practice, reward comfortable loose-lead movement and build up with brief opportunities. The article does not set a distance or daily minute quota.

What does the weekly rotation include?
The tool begins with Name and sit, then Come, Settle and Walking nicely before revisiting topics. This is an editorial sequence, not a validated timetable for a particular age or breed.
Choose a start date and four to twelve weeks. The plan keeps each week together on a phone, while print includes the whole period.
How do the dates line up?
The fixed example starts 5 October 2026 and runs for eight seven-day weeks. Its first topic is Name and sit, and the last included day is 29 November 2026. Save, print and calendar download retain the planned weeks; a reminder does not evaluate learning.

Common questions
More answers on this topic.
Must a skill be complete before the next week?
No. Repeat or simplify practice according to the puppy's response.
Is the topic order an official curriculum?
No. It is the planner's practical ordering of reward-based topics.
Can the calendar assess recall reliability?
No. A dated reminder does not test a skill or make an unsecured setting safe.
Does print include only the selected week?
No. The printed plan includes the full chosen period.
