Health and vet care
When can my puppy go outside after vaccinations?
A calculated vaccination date cannot tell you when your puppy may safely use public ground. Your vet needs the actual course, licensed instructions and local disease risk. Ask separately about suitable low-risk social experiences so development is not treated as all-or-nothing isolation.

Why is the last planned dose not automatic clearance?
A planner knows the birth date and reported visits, not whether a dose was administered or how the individual responded. WSAVA supports a series continuing to at least sixteen weeks, with timing adapted to circumstances.
Do not add a universal waiting period to a calendar date and present it as permission to walk. The appropriate delay and locations need confirmation from the practice.

What questions should you take to the vet?
Bring the vaccination record and ask which course is complete, whether more doses or review are needed and which locations are suitable now. Explain where you live and the outings you have in mind.
Keep any permission tied to that actual advice. The worldwide article does not replace the different requirements in the regional vaccination guides.

What can the calendar help you check?
For the fixed birth date below, the example viral dates are eight, twelve and sixteen weeks. Use them to prepare questions and compare the written record. They are not outdoor-clearance dates, and the tool does not calculate an extra waiting period.
Worked example
Birth ; no viral doses given
- 8-week example
- 12-week example
- 16-week example
- Outdoor clearance
- Not calculated
The final example date must not be presented as permission to walk.

Common questions
More answers on this topic.
Can I walk exactly after the last displayed date?
The date alone cannot decide that. Ask your vet about the actual course, waiting period and locations.
Does carried observation equal public-ground exercise?
No. The exposures and risks differ; discuss suitable options.
Are all puppy classes suitable before a course finishes?
No. Check the class safeguards and get advice about your puppy.
Does the planner calculate an outdoor-clearance day?
No. It calculates vaccine planning dates, not permission to use a place.

Table 1, page 12: viral timing and separate leptospirosis course. Page 14: antibody testing after the final puppy viral dose or vaccination at about 26 weeks; a positive protection result can avoid that vaccination.
Pages 1-2 support early, positive and safe exposure, gentle handling from birth, people, varied stimuli and environments, and avoiding unknown-status dog parks. AVSAB calls the first three months the primary period, not an exact 3-to-14-week rule. It allows suitable puppy classes before full vaccination when its vaccine, worming and hygiene conditions are met. The five-items-per-week layout is PupCalendar's planning format, not an AVSAB schedule.
