Feeding
How much should a kitten eat? Meals by age
The kitten feeding tool plans when meals happen, not how many grams to feed. It shows four meals below six months and separate two-meal and three-meal options from six to twelve months, with no default. Choose the daily amount from the food label and your vet's assessment.

Which kittens can use this schedule?
The form accepts fully weaned kittens from two to twelve whole months. It does not calculate milk feeds or care for younger or unwell kittens. International Cat Care describes frequent small meals and age-based meal guidance.
At exactly six months, its guide still supports at least three meals. The tool displays that qualification beside the two-meal alternative instead of claiming either option suits every kitten.

How do times relate to waking and bedtime?
The first meal starts at wake time and the last is planned three hours before bed. Meals are spread evenly. A two-hour minimum between meals is a site scheduling limit, not an instruction that a kitten must wait when care needs differ.
At three months with wake 07:00 and bed 22:00, four meals occupy a twelve-hour span. For six to twelve months the tool shows the separate alternatives rather than silently choosing one.
How should portions be worked out?
Use a complete food appropriate for the kitten's life stage and read its daily amount guidance. Review growth and body condition with your vet; age and clock times alone are not enough to calculate portions.
Split the agreed daily amount across meals. The schedule does not calculate calories, recommend a product or multiply the daily allowance by the number of meals.

What should the worked plan show?
The fixed example below has meals at 07:00, 11:00, 15:00 and 19:00. Saving retains its settings and result, and print includes either the four-meal plan or both later-age alternatives. No share or calendar action is provided.
Worked example

- Meals
- 4
- Times
- 07:00, 11:00, 15:00, 19:00
Portions are not calculated. The bedtime offset and spacing limit are planning choices.

Printed pages 6 and 7 support little-and-often feeding for fully weaned kittens, at least four meals at 8 to 12 weeks, at least three at 3 to 6 months and at least two over 6 months. Use packaging guidance for amounts. The specified four meals below 6 months meets these minimums; exactly 6 months needs care when presenting the 2 to 3 range. No exact three-hour bedtime cutoff or two-hour spacing rule is supplied.
